Alice Merkel, AnthropologY Student & Photographer
I started shooting photography in classic black and white during high school and after struggling in the first class, found love during my second attempt at photo class in the dark room. I then moved on to digital and stayed loyal in my usage to a point-and-shoot Fuji Film Fine Pix ever since.
I favor natural light and find patterns, whether industrial or natural in theme, to be mesmerizing and therefore nearly impossible not to shoot! I do enjoy staged lighting as well, but I am not one to set up my shot but rather one to shoot what has been left or created before me.
I am currently a Physical Anthropology student at Cleveland State University and graduated as an Honors student at Cuyahoga Community College.
