How To Become A Blog Contributor At I-Open

Welcome! I-Open seeks blog authors.

You are invited to submit information in the following categories:
  1. News - Industry and community updates
  2. Blog - Articles of reflection, pragmatism, and deep wisdom
  3. Research - In-depth interviews of leaders working in emerging economies

Here’s what we look for:
  • Creative - interesting, original, previously unpublished articles that clearly capture your perspective, share your insights and describe your innovations contributed 1 or 2x a month.
  • Capacity Building - articles are comprehensive, may be reflective, action oriented, or how-to posts with the capacity to teach readers about what you’ve learned and how your area of expertise can help them make progress where they are.
  • Constructive - posts focus on the strategic value your area of inquiry or discipline adds on a holistic, categorical, or topic view of enterprise development in the I-Open Innovation Framework. 
  • Topics - articles may address such topics as (but not limited to): system sciences, social networks, creativity, community development, conversations, collaboration, social process, information technology, global networks, enterprise development, entrepreneurship, social sciences, complexity science, knowledge, innovation, publishing, etc.

  • Maximum of 2 additional anchor text links to your own website within the body of the article.
  • Proper attribution of data, quotations, and other third-party content referenced in the article.
  • There is no article length requirement. 
  • Please include the following items, send your materials to the attention of “Editor”, and address your email to,
    • a working title
    • submit your article copy in .doc 
    • submit supplemental resources by url, as attachments or other commonly used file formats
    • acceptable image file formats are jpg, gif- please include attributions and attach files separately
    • for guest authors, please include a 1-2 sentence author bio including a maximum of 1 anchor text link to your own website, this information will appear at the close of your article
    • for regular contributors, please include a professional profile photo (jpg or gif ) and a descriptive professional summary to create your I-Open author page (Here’s an example: https://i-open.org/daniel-f-bassill.html )
Publishing

  • All materials are the views of the author.
  • Please do not send previously published material or republish your guest post to your own blog afterward, but please link to it and help us share it like crazy.
  • Once accepted, your article will be formatted for design, media, SEO, and scheduled for publication.
  • I-Open publishes under a Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works license. By submitting your draft, you give I-Open permission to publish the content to the I-Open blog, as well as to other I-Open publishing and social media properties and content libraries.
